Comparing to May, the current amount of those who support prolongation of Russia's Black Sea Fleet (BSF) deployment in Crimea has been dropped on 8.4%, reports FOCUS referring to Institute of Politics.

The public inquiry was held by Ukrainian Democratic Community on request of Institute of Politics.

Portion of supporters of the Kharkov agreements has been reduced from 58.9% to 50.5%, and amount of negatively spirited people raised on 9.5% (from 29.2% to 38.7%).

According to Institute of Politics, more than half of pollees (57.8%) consider the Medvedev-Yanukovich pact not threatening Ukraine's sovereignty. One third of respondents (33.4%) hold the opposite opinion. Some pollees (8.8%) could not answer with certainty.

If the BSF issue is submitted for referendum, relative majority of population (45.8%) would vote for non-withdrawal of the Russian fleet till 2042. Portion of opponents would be 35.8%, about 12.5% would not attend the referendum, and 5.9% could not answer with certainty.

In contrast to May, in September number of those who would vote for extension of BSF deployment has dropped on 8.5% (from 54.3% to 45.8%), and amount of opponents increased on 7.3% (from 28.5% to 35.8%).

The all-Ukraine poll was held in Sept 9-15, 2010. Sampled population is represented by adults from all Ukrainian regions. Totally, 1,200 respondents at the age of 18 and older were questioned. Statistical sampling error does not exceed 2.9%.
