Pacific Fleet marine brigade obtained the banner 16.12.2010

Combat banner was triumphantly handed over to Pacific Fleet 155th Marine Brigade.

New banner was given to the brigade commander Col. Igor Bushmin by Admiral Konstantin Sidenko, Eastern Military District Commander. This festive event became a remarkable milestone in the history of black berets. The brigade established one year ago is a successor of PF Marine Division.

Marines have excellently completed all phases of combat training in 2010 and distinguished themselves in all significant activities of the year, outlined Admiral Konstantin Sidenko in his speech. Their perfect actions in strategic exercise Vostok-2010 under auspices of president Medvedev, attending anti-piracy mission in the Gulf of Aden and release of tanker Moscow University, numerous exercises jointly held with other forces of Pacific Fleet should be mentioned in this regard. The Military District Commander highly appreciated efforts of the young formation.

In according to presidential decree of 2006, old-fashioned combat banners of military units are being restyled. Design of new combat banners is based on traditional colors of St. George flag. Being one of the most leading and combat-ready forces in Pacific Fleet, marine brigade received the banner first.
