New task force of Pacific Fleet (PF) has taken over an anti-piracy watch in the Gulf of Aden. The task force consists of large ASW ship Admiral Vinogradov, salvage tug, and tanker, reported the Navy Main HQ.

This is the fifth PF task force dispatched to the Indian Ocean to secure civil shipping and protect it from Somali pirates. Previous four task forces had escorted over 100 merchant vessels through the dangerous waters, reports Interfax.
