60 percent of dismissed employees in Sevastopol are Black Sea Fleet staff 27.01.2011

1,447 persons had been officially dismissed from different companies of Sevastopol, Crimea in 2010; 60 per cent of them are former employees of Russia's Black Sea Fleet. Same trend was seen in 2009. Number of dismissed personnel was 3,856 then.

That was said by Irina Tsokur, deputy chairman of Sevastopol city administration.

According to her, other 5,500 persons received notes of coming staff reduction.

However, total number of newly created jobs in Sevastopol (8,485) exceeds the liquidated ones (6,600). Half of new jobs are trade-related.

There are 1,013 vacancies in Sevastopol with wage of about UAH 1,313 which is 58 per cent of the city's average salary.
