Russian defense minister Anatoly Serdiukov yesterday left for Kaliningrad to visit Baltic Fleet marine brigade and residential quarters being constructed for military servicemen.

"Working visit of Anatoly Serdiukov includes visiting of Baltic Fleet Marine Brigade in Baltiysk", said Irina Kovalchuk, the minister's press secretary.

"The minister will inspect residential district "Severnyi" which is being currently built for servicemen", added Lt. Col. Kovalchuk. "Then Anatoly Serdiukov will hold a consultation on transfer of some military objects under regional and municipal jurisdiction".
