First Soviet nuclear-powered submarine K-3 Leninsky Komsomol will become a museum. Decorating sea front of Murmansk city, she will be placed next to the first Soviet nuclear-powered icebreaker Lenin.

Submarine K-3 Leninsky Komsomol was built in Severodvinsk and launched in 1957. A fire occurred on board the sub in Sept 1967 claimed lives of 39 crewmen. That was the first large accident in Soviet nuclear-powered fleet.

In total, the sub performed 14 long-range patrols, including the first under-ice cruise in the Kara Sea and the Greenland Sea.
