Submarine K-3
Leninsky Komsomol was built in Severodvinsk and launched in 1957. A fire occurred on board the sub in Sept 1967 claimed lives of 39 crewmen. That was the first large accident in Soviet nuclear-powered fleet.
In total, the sub performed 14 long-range patrols, including the first under-ice cruise in the Kara Sea and the Greenland Sea.
