Summarizing naval maneuvers finished on Saturday night in the Sea of Japan, command of Primorsk Flotilla (Pacific Fleet) reported all crews had performed assigned tasks excellently, said Pacific Fleet's press secretary Capt 1 rank Roman Martov to RIA Novosti.
"The maneuvers held in the Peter the Great Bay were attended by crews of large ASW ships, missile boats, and cadets of Baltic Naval School who are in training at Pacific Fleet. Participants practiced operations of single ships and their actions within a task force", said the interviewee.
According to him, during the 3-day exercise the crews had performed tens of various drills including antiaircraft and antisurface missile/gun firings, and anti-terror activities. Crews of large ASW ships Admiral Tributs and Admiral Panteleyev also fired against coastal targets mounted on Zheltukhin Island.
"In April combat training will intensify at Primorsk Flotilla headed by Capt 1 rank Viktor Sokolov, submarines and missile ship groupings will take the sea", added Martov.
