Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Vladimir Vysotsky arrived in Sevastopol to inspect functions of Black Sea Fleet (BSF) top-ranking officers, particularly while sea training activities, reported RIA Novosti on Saturday referring to the Navy press service.

Vysotsky listened to BSF Commander Vice Admiral Vladimir Korolev and chiefs of the fleet's control agencies reporting on wide range of issues related with BSF stationing in Sevastopol and the fleet's preparedness for scheduled training activities of 2011.

Also, the admiral sailed BSF frigate Pytlivy on Saturday. Apart from Vysotsky, on board the ship were BSF Commander and ship division commanders. It was planned to check qualification of commanders in proper organization of training tasks accomplishment.

Prior to that, landing ships Azov and Nikolai Filchenkov, and harbor defense ships had successfully performed training tasks at sea.

Along with sea drills, BSF marine brigade continues field training at Opuk Range. Marines practice cohesiveness, improve warlike skills, conduct fire drills, and drive combat vehicles.
