Second day of the Pomor-2011 Russian-Norwegian joint naval exercise started with antiaircraft drill; Northern Fleet (NF) naval airplanes acted as hostile assets.

Pomor exercise were held in accordance with plans. Norwegian and Russian marines rendered assistance to the distressed vessel. It was detected by Russian ASW aircraft
Il-38. Pilots transmitted coordinates to the ships which headed for help. The vessel inspection episode was carried out as well.
The ships set Norwegian time and lay a course for the Norwegian Sea to rendezvous point with Norwegian coast guard ship
Andenes.
