Baltic shipyard Yantar (Kaliningrad, Russia) prepared the third Indian frigate for launching.
In accordance with general schedule, frigate INS
Trikand (stands for "Bow") will be triumphantly launched on May 25. This is third Project 11356 frigate built by
Yantar for Indian Navy.
The ceremony program includes speeches of first persons, the ship's christening and towing to the dock.
Russian and Indian top-ranking civilian and military officials are expected to attend the ceremony.

Yantar was established on July 8, 1945 on the facilities of German yard
F. Schichau. It specializes in construction of small- and medium-size warships and civil vessels, as well as conducting ship repair works. Through 65-year history, the yard has built 154 warships and over 500 civil vessels. Currently, major shareholder of JSC
Yantar is state-led JSC
United Shipbuilding Corporation.
