Russia has finished delivery of 9 deck-based helicopters Ka-31 to China, reports RIA Novosti referring to Sergei Kornev, the head of Rosoboronexport delegation at the Le Bourget air show.

According to World Arms Trade Analytic Center (WATAC), the Russian-Chinese contract for nine Ka-31 radar picket helicopters was tied in 2007. Deliveries were implemented in 2010-2011.

In addition, a contract for 9 antisubmarine helicopters Ka-28 was signed with China in 2007. The helicopters were delivered in 2009-2010.

Earlier in 2002, Russia and China tied a delivery contract for 4 helicopters Ka-28 designed to be based on two Project 956ME destroyers. Deliveries were accomplished in 2005-2006.

Totally, Russia has sold nine Ka-31 and thirteen Ka-28 helicopters to China in the recent 10 years to the sum of $500 mln.

The order executor is JSC Kumertau Aircraft Manufacture.

As for WATAC, deck-based helicopters are one of the arms market's segments where Russia can continue cooperation with China.
