French Navy's minesweeper Céphée on Sept 6 called at port of Baltiysk to conduct joint exercise with Russian minesweeper Sergei Kolbasiev, reports Baltic Fleet (BF) press service.

"Plan of the joint exercise includes drills on communications, tactical maneuvering, imitation of underway refueling, minelaying, minesweeping, and transshipment of personnel by helicopter", press release said.

Joint minesweeping exercise of the two ships with participation of BF helicopter will be held in Sept 9-10.

The visit program includes sport competitions in soccer and tug-of-war between French and Russian servicemen, and joint visits on board French minesweeper Céphée and host ship harbor minesweeper Sergei Kolbasiev.
