The tsar family used to go to Livadia (south coast of Crimea) via Sevastopol. Yacht
Shtandart was waiting for them in the Southern Bay. Prior to sailing to Yalta, the Emperor with his family and high-ranking guests made prayer service in St. Theodosius Church.
Nowadays, the temple is being revived along with legendary yacht quay. "Hopefully, this place would become another significant site for residents of Sevastopol and city visitors", said representative of initiator company Vigriyanov A.A.
The solemn monument-opening ceremony conducted by
Krasotel company will be attended by top-ranking officials of Crimea and Sevastopol, known politicians and public figures. It is also expected that a descendant of Romanov's royal family would also take part in the festive event.
The ceremony will take place after benediction of Father Sergius, rector of St. Vladimir Church. The program includes prayer service and sacred procession around St. Theodosius Church, solemn opening of foundation stone, and festive banquette.

Yacht
Shtandart was launched in 1894. Through over 20 years she was a favorite yacht of the Russian Emperor Nicholas II.
Shtandart hosted on board almost all European monarchs and many influential persons of that time.
After the communist revolution,
Shtandart was retrofitted into mine layer and obtained a name of
Marti, took part in WW2 within Baltic Fleet, and achieved the Guard title.
In commemoration of the most beautiful ship of early XX century, a monument will be laid down at yacht quay of the Hero City of Sevastopol.
