JSC Yantar Shipyard continues systematic work on all ships being constructed, told the yard's press service to .
One of the principal tasks is execution of export contracts, i.e. construction and testing of Project 11356 frigates for Indian Navy. Lead frigate of the 3-ship batch (INS
Teg, laid down in July 2007, launched in Nov 2009) has already finished shipyard's sea trials program and is being prepared for state trials. It is planned to finish trials in the current year and moor the ship at the yard's quay to hold maintenance inspection. The frigate's delivery term remained the same – Apr 2012.
The second frigate of the batch (INS
Tarkash laid down in Nov 2007, launched in June 2010) is being actively prepared for mooring trials. In some particular days, up to 350 specialists work on the ship, both
Yantar shipwrights and experts from contracting organizations. Baltic Fleet has already formed the crew, and it will settle in the ship right after the New Year. Mooring trials must be completed within 4 months. First sortie is scheduled late in Apr 2012. In the end of 2012 the ship will be handed over to Indian Navy. The third ship in the series (INS
Trikand laid down in June 2008, launched in May 2011) is being completed afloat.
Works on Russian Navy's orders are in progress as well; they are Project 11356 frigates
Admiral Grigorovich (laid down in Dec 2010),
Admiral Essen (laid down in July 2011). Keel-laying of the third ship of the trio – frigate
Admiral Makarov – is scheduled in Feb 2012. The second frigate –
Admiral Essen – will be launched in 2012 as well. Project 11711 large landing ship
Ivan Gren is situated on outdoor slipway. The ship was laid down in Dec 2004; presently, installation of interior equipment and cable laying works are in progress. Mooring trials of Project 11982 experimental ship
Seliger (laid down in July 2010, launched in July 2011) will start in the nearest time. Hull-assembling works of Project 22010 oceanographic research ship
Yantar (laid down in July 2010) go on in the shipyard's covered slipway; as for now, it is the largest vessel being constructed by the yard. Being an affiliate of United Shipbuilding Corporation,
Yantar shipyard continues technical upgrading. According to plans, late in 2012
Yantar will start construction of crucially new vessel unusual for the yard; it will be the hull of asymmetric icebreaker designed jointly with Finnish partners.
