Caspian Flotilla (CF) marine platoons practice tactical coordination at training ranges in Dagestan and Astrakhan regions.

To carry out practical training in platoons, a complex tactical situation was shaped with use of special facilities imitating "enemy" actions. Cross-road marches with further deployment on unprepared coast, organization of anti-landing defense, and repelling of amphibious assaults are conducted under direction of company commanders.

Platoon leaders improve their commanding skills in various kinds of battles, receive practical experience in control of firing and subordinate units, learn to act unusually, deceive the "enemy", and obtain surprise.

Prime purpose of combat teamwork is to prepare personnel for combat actions within tactical units in accordance with specific character of marine service. In total, about 500 servicemen of CF marine battalions are participating in the teamwork drills.
