Novomoskovsk.
JSC Zvezdochka Ship Repair Center will deliver three repaired and modernized submarines to Russian Navy this year, said the shipyard's director general Vladimir Nikitin.
"We have a quite eventful delivery campaign in this year. Two nuclear-powered submarines
Verkhoturye and
Novomoskovsk, and diesel electric submarine
Kaluga will be delivered to the Navy by the year end", Nikitin told
Interfax.
Besides, it is planned to hand over submarine INS
Sindhurakshak to India in this year; the sub is currently passing repair and modernization, pointed out the interviewee.

Novomoskovsk arrived at
Zvezdochka for interim overhaul and modernization in Nov 2008. As a result, her lifetime will be 10 years longer expiring in 2021.
Length of
Delfin-class submarines is 167 meters; beam is 12 meters; displacement is about 12,000 tons; test depth is 400 meters; cruise submerged speed is 24 knots (44.5 kph); crew is 140. The submarines are armed with 16 ballistic missiles. Project 877
Paltus (aka
Varshavyanka or
Kilo) diesel electric submarine
Kaluga was designed by
Rubin bureau and commissioned into Soviet Navy in 1989. Her full displacement exceeds 3,000 tons; submerged speed is up to 17 knots; length is 72.6 meters; beam is 9.9 meters; armament includes six 533-mm torpedo tubes; crew is 57 men.
