New Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Vice Admiral Viktor Chirkov held his first working trip. On June 2 he visited Novorossiysk Naval Base, an insider told Central Navy Portal.
Chirkov flew over quayside and port of Novorossiysk base where naval infrastructure is being built, took report of the base commander Capt 1 Rank Sergei Pinchuk about the course of construction works and development prospects for the new Black Sea Fleet basing site.
Near-term plans of VADM Viktor Chirkov include visiting all fleets and Caspian Flotilla in order to get acquainted with current state of affairs in headquarters, ships, and military units.
