Russian Navy's Black Sea Fleet (BSF) is celebrating 35-th anniversary of its training center. Throughout that period, over 900,000 men have passed training course there.

Equipment of BSF Training Center allows teaching of 50 naval specialties. There are special classrooms for electromechanics, missile/gun, and radiotechnical training. Personnel may use a special simulator to practice damage control, rescue and diving activities.

The training center recently put into service Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS), effectively uses the newest simulator Mostik designed for training of commanding officers and battle station crews in navigation of a single ship or task group in various conditions.

Through one year of its operation, almost 1,500 BSF servicemen have passed training on the Mostik simulator.

BSF Commander Rear Admiral Alexander Fedotenkov congratulated staff of the training center on the anniversary.
