Northern Fleet (NF) military investigators began inquiry into a car accident occurred on 6-th km of the Severomorsk-Murmansk Highway, representative of NF Investigation Committee Alexander Kuratov told Central Navy Portal.

It was found out that on Aug 15 at 3.20 pm the 20-year old contracted sailor of NF military unit 70146 Andrei Patrakov was driving his car VAZ-2105, lost control and collided with a lightpole. As a result of the car accident, Patrakov and his 19-year old passenger died at the scene. Ambulance car delivered another 17-year old female passenger to the hospital with closed craniocerebral injury, brain concussions, and tear-contused wound of parietal region. Doctors classified the girl's health status as stable.

At present, all circumstances of the accident are being investigated. Further procedural decisions will be made upon results of the inquiry.
