Having finished scheduled repair in mid-Aug and left Kronshtadt, the Black Sea Fleet (BSF) diesel-electric submarine Alrosa is heading for homebase in Sevastopol. Currently, Alrosa and Baltic Fleet rescue tug SB-921 which supports her in the interfleet cruise have entered the La Manche Strait.

Early in Sept, the ships are expected to rendezvous in Spanish port Ceuta with BSF rescue tug Shakhter which is to escort the sub right up to Sevastopol.

Rescue tug Shakhter entered the Mediterranean Sea several days ago and started passing the Malta Channel.

The BSF task unit will arrive in the Black Sea in the second half of Sept 2012.
