Russian delegation in France did not discuss construction of third and fourth Mistral-class amphibious ships for Russian Navy, reports RIA Novosti referring to deputy director of JSC Rosoboronexport Ivan Goncharenko heading Russian delegation at the Euronaval-2012.

As for him, "we have the contract for first two Mistral-class ships named Vladivostok and Sevastopol. As of now, about 60 modifications have been introduced into the Mistral project for Russia. Third and fourth ships are not in question so far", reports RIA Novosti.

Goncharenko said that two Russian crews for Mistral ships would pass training course in France which is to start in the next year.

According to RIA Novosti, Goncharenko emphasized that "additional budgetary allocation will be needed for third and fourth Mistrals".

Prior to that, vice president of French shipbuilder DCNS Bernard Planchais said he was waiting for Russia's request to start talks about license production of the second two Mistrals at Russian shipyards, reports the agency.
