Military ceremonies on the cruiser Avrora having lost the warship status will be held again. According to BaltInfo, the Saint Andrew's Flag is daily hoisted in the morning and hauled down in the evening on the cruiser to accompaniment of bugle sounds. That colors ceremonies are carried out by cadets of the Nakhimov Naval School which is situated opposite the legendary cruiser.
Although the ship left the Russian Navy's roll, it still follows Shipboard Chart that requires the ensign to be hoisted at 8 am on weekdays (at 9 am on holidays) and hauled down at sundown. Order of the colors ceremony with all appropriate commands is also conducted in accordance with the Chart.
Experts treated resumption of the ceremonies ambiguously. For instance, chairman of the St. Petersburg Submariners' Club Igor Kurdin considers such activities contrary to active legislation and violating of presidential decrees and Russian Navy's Shipboard Chart.
