Iceberg Design Bureau specially for Project 18280 reconnaissance ships, experimental diesel engine 11D42 had successfully passed trials in the summer of 2011 and was recommended for batch production. Main propulsion plant of the ship consists of two geared diesel engines 5DRA and is working with adjustable pitch propeller. It provides smooth increase of power without overloading from fractional to rated operating modes.

Severnaya Verf. As was earlier told
