Black Sea Fleet preparing to celebrate 40th anniversary naval surface force

The former commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Igor Kasatonov, is in Sebastopol on a working visit.

The admiral will discuss preparations for the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the naval surface force of the Fleet, which is planned to take place in early April.

Kasatonov underwent command school at the Fleet and assumed its command between the '70s and '80s. He took active part in preparations for the coming celebrations, helping the command of the Fleet organize the event. Kasatonov has written a new book titled The Forty Years of the 30th Division; through all Stages and Trials, which will be published in mid-March by a Moscow publishing house.

Commander of the Black Sea Fleet Vice Admiral Alexander Kletskov held a working meeting with Admiral Kasatonov at the headquarters of the Fleet. During his visit, Admiral Kasatonov discussed the coming ceremony and the participation of veterans with the commander of the division, Rear Admiral O. Garamov.
