Missilemen of Baltic Fleet coast forces hit dummy target

One of Baltic Fleet coastal units performed combat task – Tochka tactical missile launch – during scheduled combat training at Pavenkovo Range, Kaliningrad region. That was the final stage of fleet's summer training period.

The missile hit dummy with given accuracy. Actions of the crew were assessed as excellent. Coast forces division led by Col. Guard Valery Proskuriakov conducts such exercise regularly in accordance with specified standards. Combat training launches follow systematic drills of personnel at special simulators.

Baltic Fleet coast forces are used for combat tasks accomplishment independently or jointly with other forces on defense of naval bases, important coastal regions or islands from enemy ships' sea assaults and also for assistance to land forces performing tasks at coastal directions. BF coast forces are armed with mobile missile systems Redut, Rubezh and Tochka providing defense of coastline and sea border of Russia's most western region.

Tactical missile system Tochka is one of the basic missile systems of Baltic Fleet coast forces. The missile is capable to precisely defeat fortifications, protected command posts, air defense facilities, enemy weapons and objects in operating zone. Crews of Guard division headed by Col. Guard Valery Proskuriakov successfully defeat appointed targets during combat training firings for many years.
