French AAW frigate Chevalier Paul will visit Severomorsk on March 30 and take part in joint drill with a Northern Fleet's warship, reported Wednesday RIA Novosti citing Pierre Francois Forissier, French Navy Commander-in-Chief.

"Russian and French ships will carry out joint drill within the framework of traditional exercise on communications and maneuvering", Forissier said.

According to him, visit of French frigate to Northern Fleet main base will last till Apr 3.

"Countries sharing human values – like our ones – should cooperate at the whole ocean space. Working together must become a habit; the countries should have compatible systems. We've been working on that for a long time", said the French admiral.

He pointed out that in contrast to previous days when only simplest elements had been trained during such exercises, present-day joint maneuvers are full of new and complicated tasks. "Now we are ready to step up to fleet level of joint exercises", said Forissier.
