Rosoboronexport and Morinformsistema-AGAT corporation for the first time in Middle East will present information about mobile coastal missile system Club-M, modular missile system Club-U, and container missile system Club-K, reported Wednesday Federal Service for Military Technical Cooperation (FSMTC).

2nd international maritime defense exhibition and conference DIMDEX-2010 will be held in Doha (Qatar) in March 29-31. Exhibition sponsor is Royal United Services Institute for Defense and Security Studies. DIMDEX is supported by Qatar Navy and held under the auspices of Crown Prince Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Deputy Commander of Qatar Armed Forces.

"For the first time in Middle East information will be presented about mobile coastal missile system Club-M, modular missile system Club-U, container missile system Club-K, multipurpose shipborne SAM system 14UKSKh X, and antiship/antisubmarine missiles", says the press-release of FSMTC.

In total, Russian participants will present 150 exhibits of warlike production; in particular, information about naval systems sufficiently capable to counter terrorism, piracy, drug trafficking, contraband, and hostage taking will be presented.

Visitors of the exhibition can see corvette Tigr, Project Gepard-3.9 frigate, air cushion landing ship Zubr, small missile ship Tornado, seagoing customs cutter Mercury, patrol boat Mirazh, fast-speed patrol boat Mangust, patrol boat Sobol, air cushion landing cutter Murena-E, missile gunboat Scorpion, Project 636 diesel electric submarine, Project 677E Amur-1650 diesel electric submarine, and littoral zone midget submarines.

Besides, information about modern air defense systems, army equipment, and helicopters will also be presented.

This year, the exhibition space would be 15,000 sq. meters; 130 exhibitors from 30 countries are expected to participate. 20 countries will be represented with national exposition halls; among them are the U.S., Great Britain, Germany, Italy, France, Qatar etc.

It is planned to host 74 official delegations and about 20 warships including American, British, French, Italian, Australian, Indian, and Pakistani ones.

A conference of navy commanders of Middle East countries will be held within the framework of exhibition; they are going to discuss global geopolitical issues and problems of sea piracy prevention.

Russia is involved in the exhibition for the first time. Its display area is 146 sq. meters; the sponsor is state corporation Rostehnologii.
