Russian marines to attend military parades in Kerch, Odessa and Nikolayev 15.04.2010

Russian servicemen who are to attend military parades on May 9 in Odessa, Kerch and Nikolayev will be delivered there by Black Sea Fleet (BSF) large landing ships, informs Novy Region referring to BSF Press Service.

"In commemoration of 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War sailors of Black Sea Fleet will participate not only in traditional parades in hero cities of Sevastopol and Novorossiysk but also in other hero cities Odessa and Kerch as well as in shipbuilders' city of Nikolayev.

Personnel of BSF independent marine brigade will take part in parades along with Ukrainian servicemen. As agreed upon with Ukrainian party, marines will be delivered to festivity sites by BSF warships which will pay official visits to ports of Kerch, Odessa and Nikolayev", says the press release.

BSF large landing ships Yamal, Caesar Kunikov and Novocherkassk will take part in the cruise devoted to 65th anniversary of the Great Victory. Parade groups of 75 men per each call port have been already assigned.

"Program of the visit provides protocol events, joint marching drills with Ukrainian servicemen, visiting Russian warships by locals, and cultural activities for the crews", specified the press service.
