Russian Frontier Service is about to receive 26 new patrol ships within the next 10 years, informed Rosbalt today citing Nikolai Kozik, chief of FSB Frontier Department, St. Petersburg regional branch.

According to Kozik, those ships will be equipped with state-of-the-art arms and navigational facilities. Each vessel will have a heliport. The crew is going to be 18 men.

"Two such ships were laid down at Almaz shipyard on May 12", said the officer. He couldn't specify how many ships will be dispatched to the Gulf of Finland, although expressed interest in them.
