Russian large ASW ship Admiral Levchenko will take part in the UN international anti-piracy mission early July and start patrolling waters of the Gulf of Aden and the Horn of Africa changing large ASW ship Marshal Shaposhnikov, reported Wednesday RIA Novosti referring to a representative of Russian defense ministry press service.

Large ASW ship Marshal Shaposhnikov which has been participating in international anti-piracy mission for over two months completed her mission and will return to Pacific Fleet main base Vladivostok on June 25.

"Russian warships will continue their regular presence in the Gulf of Aden and near the Horn of Africa with a view to secure civil shipping. Presently, large ASW ship Admiral Levchenko is crossing the Mediterranean and will enter upon this critical task early July", said the interviewee.
