Russian Navy Continues Rotation of Anti-Piracy Forces 15.09.2011

Russian Navy's task unit conducting anti-piracy and convoy-escorting activities in the Gulf of Aden and off the Horn of Africa will shift till Sept 25, told a spokesman for Russian Navy to Central Navy Portal.

Rotation of the ships will be held in accordance with plans of Russian Defense Ministry and Navy Main HQ.

The Northern Fleet (NF) task unit headed by large ASW ship Severomorsk will be shifted by Pacific Fleet (PF) task unit consisting of large ASW ship Admiral Panteleyev, supply vessel Butoma, and salvage tug Fotiy Krylov.

Heading from Vladivostok Naval Base for the assigned area near the Horn of Africa, PF task unit visited Cambodian port Sihanoukville in Sept 8-13.
