Deployment conditions of Russia's Black Sea Fleet in Ukraine will not be cardinally revised in the foreseeable future, things remain within foregoing agreements, said Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdiukov.
"We have no information that Ukraine plans to revise or change anything. All remains within the framework of formerly tied agreements", Serdiukov told
Interfax.
According to him, that was confirmed during the first visit of new Ukrainian defense minister Dmitry Salamatin to Russia. "He made no statements that anything should be revised or changed", Serdiukov said.
The minister said that among subjects discussed at the meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart were issues regarding deck simulator NITKA in Crimea and 31-st Test Range in Feodosiya. "We tasked experts to work on those matters more actively", said Serdiukov.
As for the minister, Russian-Ukrainian military relations have been developing in a constructive way. "I don't think the situation would worsen in the foreseeable future", Serdiukov concluded.
