Foreign inspectors visiting Black Sea Fleet installations in Crimea 04.02.2009
Two groups of foreign inspectors arrived in Crimea on February 3 to evaluate the amount of weapons and the installations of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, as well as assess the conditions under which Ukrainian troops serve.

The planned three-day visit took place under the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe and the Vienna document of 1999. One group, made up of American inspectors, visited Simferopol, while the other, which included Slovak, Romanian, and Bulgarian inspectors traveled to the south of the Crimean coast.

The inspectors plan to scrutinize the work conditions of servicemen, their mess halls, and leisure installations.
