Creation of Navy History Museum in Moscow is postponed 12.10.2009
Completion of Russian Navy History Museum and Memorial Center (RN MMC) at Khimki Dam in Moscow is postponed on 4 years – till 2012, said the source in municipal administration to RIA Novosti on Monday.

"City government regulation concerning time displacement of completion of the center is subscribed by Yury Luzhkov, Moscow mayor", said the source. Additionally, city authorities decided to change the orderer of project documentation for MMC. "The function of client state for design engineering of MMC objects now will be executed by Moscow capital construction department but not economic policy and development department", he specified.

First exhibits of Russian Navy History Museum and Memorial Center appeared in Khimki Dam waters in 2006 were diesel submarine B-396 and corvette Druzhny. Later on, airfoil boat Orlyonok and landing boat Skat became to be museum's showpieces. Except those objects, MMC is to include Navy Museum, administrative training building, show flat of naval weaponry, parade ground for military and patriotic activities, monument to Admiral Fedor Ushakov and observation site.
