Antonov offers naval patrol aircraft An-74 for India's tender 18.02.2011

During the Aero India 2011 exhibition Ukrainian state company Antonov held a number of negotiations with the view to promote An-74 aircraft generation in Southeast Asian market; among other subjects discussed, the company considered offering of the aircraft's naval patrol version for India's tender, said the Antonov's press release.

According to World Arms Trade Analytic Center, the tender for mid-range naval patrol aircrafts MTMP was issued by India's Coast Guard.

One of the tender competitors is Swedish company SAAB with its aircraft Saab-340 MSA.

In its turn, Indian Navy declared a tender for 6-8 mid-range naval reconnaissance aircrafts MRMR. This tender was re-launched in Oct 2010.
