Interpolitekh-2009. Multipurpose boat Lider 12M – the exhibit discovery

During International exhibition of state security assets Interpolitekh-2009 (Oct, 27-30, VVC exhibition center, pavilion 75 "Russia"), visitors and experts may see new multipurpose boat Lider 12M for the first time. The vessel developed under original project by Company grouping Euroyachting Rybinskaya Verf was put afloat in late August of current year.

Presently, after successful sea and mooring trials in its shipyard, the boat is sent for operational tests to Special purpose diving center of Northern emergency rescue service. The vessel's frame and equipment are planned to pass the tests in extreme conditions of open sea.

Multipurpose boat Lider 12M has been created as universal asset with increased strength and navigability. It may be used by various governmental authorities for accomplishment of various tasks. Among them are patrol and search activities, delivery of assistance and rescuing of distressed, fire fighting on small sea and coastal objects, rescue and tugging of small vessels and also conducting diving operations.

Patrol and search activities are provided by 3-day sea endurance of the boat with 4-man crew aboard. For that purpose the vessel is equipped with cookroom with stove for cooking, refrigerator, latrine and drying closet for "stormies" (impermeable clothing) and water-immersion jackets.

The boat may be an effective all-weather mean of rescue. This is provided by patented design of hinged sides, sufficiently huge (despite small external dimensions) seating capacity of 14 men, two berths with set-in Paramedic-type handbarrows, and also fore entrance and gangway enabling to take sufferers from quays.

The most important feature in these tasks is the boat's 100% stability on water, it always returns to normal position. It is almost impossible to overturn the vessel.

Lider 12M may be successfully used for fire fighting on small sea and coastal objects (yacht clubs, moorages, island-type constructions) when approach from coast is impossible. For that purpose it is equipped with motor pump (34 hp) with removable carriage hose. While rescue of small ship both motor pump working in pumpback mode and towing bitt (100 m) for further tugging in safe place may be used.

Along with mentioned tasks the boat is able to perform number of diving operations. It is equipped with crinoline located on water level, diver's ladder and also stern lockers for storage of diving outfit.

Having length and width (transport width) of 13.2 m and 4.5 (4.2) m correspondingly, the boat is able to move with maximum speed of 40 knots. When cruise speed is 30 knots the boat's range is up to 500 miles. The vessel's power plant comprises two engines Volvo Penta (Sweden) 575 hp each and water-jets Hamilton. The boat is equipped with 6 sleeping berths while seating capacity is 14 men.

Company grouping Euroyachting Rybinskaya Verf is Russian complete-cycle shipbuilder capable to design and deliver to customer an any-purpose ready-to-operate ship with the length up to 40 m. The Grouping includes: PKB Evroyahting Design & Construction Bureau (Moscow), Rybinskaya Verf (Rybinsk), SKI Ship Interior Studio (Moscow) and SKO Ship Painting Studio (mobile subdivision).
