Vladimir Monomakh is a Project 955 Borei 4-gen nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine.

The sub is under construction.

CONSTRUCTION, NAME

The sub was laid down on March 19, 2006 in 55th shop of Sevmash shipyard (Severodvinsk) with the participation of Vladimir Masorin, Navy Commander-in-Chief. Keel laying ceremony was dated to 100th anniversary of Russian submarine fleet.

Expected completion term is 2011.

6 x 533-mm torpedo tubes, torpedoes, rocket torpedoes, cruise missiles, 16 SLBM Bulava portable air defense systems.
