K-186 Omsk is a Project 949A Antei nuclear-powered attack submarine (SSN).

REGISTRATION

CONSTRUCTION, NAME

The submarine was laid down on July 13, 1989 at Sevmash shipyard (Severodvinsk) under the name of K-186; renamed into Omsk on April 13, 1993 being taken under patronage of Omsk city administration; launched on May 10 (or 8), 1993; commissioned into Northern Fleet on January 21, 1994; transferred to Pacific Fleet on September 14, 1994.

MILESTONES

In 1997 the sub won the Navy Commander's Prize for missile firing against sea target.

In Sept 2002 the sub won two Navy Commander's Prizes for missile and torpedo firings.
