B-336 Pskov is a Project 945A Condor nuclear-powered attack submarine.

CONSTRUCTION, NAME

The sub was laid down on June 29, 1989 at Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard (Nizhniy Novgorod); launched on July 28, 1992; commissioned in 1993 under name of Okun. The sub obtained the name of Pskov in 1995.

MILESTONES

On March 19, 1996 Pskov city administration took patronage over the submarine.

In Sept-Nov 1998 the sub excellently performed her first patrol.

In Nov 1999 – Jan 2000 the sub carried out patrol and won the Navy Commander's Prize "For long tracking of alien nuclear submarines".

In Nov-Dec 2000 new sonar equipment was tested on the sub at the White and the Barents seas.

In 2001 the crew was ranked first in the fleet's combat training period.

PROPULSION

One water-cooled and water-moderated reactor OK-650B (190 mW) and one turbine-geared unit (50,000 shp). Four steam generators, two turboalternators, two feed pumps, two condensate pumps, two storage battery sets, two reversible transducers, multi-blade screw, diesel-generator ASDG-800.
