K-150 Tomsk is a Project 949A Antei nuclear-powered attack submarine (SSN).

CONSTRUCTION, NAME

The submarine was laid down on August 27, 1991 at Sevmash shipyard (Severodvinsk) under the name of K-150; renamed into Tomsk on April 13, 1993 being taken under patronage of Tomsk city administration; launched on July 20 (or 18), 1996; commissioned into Northern Fleet on March 17 (or August 12), 1997; transferred to Pacific Fleet on October 9, 1998.

MILESTONES

For the first time in submarine fleet's history, representative of Russian Orthodox Church Bishop of Kamchatka Ignatiy was on board the sub while transarctic cruise from Northern Fleet to Pacific Fleet.
