Kerch is a Project 1143-B Large ASW Ship.

CONSTRUCTION

The ship was laid down on April 30, 1971 at Nikolayev 61 Communards Shipyard; launched on July 21, 1972; commissioned on January 23, 1975.

MILESTONES

In 1976 the ship was deployed at the Mediterranean for 6 months.

In 1984 and 1989 it visited port of Varna (Bulgaria).

In 1989 the ship paid a call at port of Istanbul (Turkey).

Sine April 27, 1994 till June 12, 1997 it was the flagship of Black Sea Fleet.

In 1998 the ship paid official visits to ports of Cannes (France) and Messina (Italy).
