Admiral Kharlamov is a Project 1155 large ASW ship.

CONSTRUCTION

The ship was laid down on August 7, 1986 at Yantar Shipyard (Kaliningrad) and launched on June 29, 1988. It was commissioned on April 1, 1990.

MILESTONES

In 1993 it visited Canadian port Halifax and US port Boston. In 1994 the ship called at Dutch port Rotterdam.

In 1996 and 1997 it was the Navy's best ASW ship.

Since July 2001 it has not taken the sea and is currently in reserve.

In December 2004 thirty crewmembers got poisoned by industrial alcohol and were delivered to the fleet's hospital.
