MPK-221 is a Project 1124M Small ASW Ship (SAS).

CONSTRUCTION, NAME

The ship was laid down on February 8, 1985 at Khabarovsk Shipyard named after 60th anniversary of the USSR; launched on April 29, 1987; commissioned on February 19, 1988 under name of MPK-200. The ship obtained the name of Primorsky Komsomolets on August 11, 1987; then the name of MPK-221 on February 15, 1992.
