MPK-224 Aleksin is a Project 1331M Small ASW Ship (SAS).

CONSTRUCTION, NAME

The ship was laid down on February 28, 1987 at Peene-Werft shipyard (Wolgast, GDR); launched on March 30, 1988; commissioned on April 21, 1989. The ship is under patronage of town Aleksin, Tula region.

MILESTONES

In 1990 and 1993 being a part of ASW attack group, the ship won Navy Commander's Prize for ASW training.
