MPK-49 Aleksandrovets is a Project 1124 Small ASW Ship (SAS).

REGISTRATION

Black Sea Fleet

CONSTRUCTION, NAME

The ship was laid down on March 23, 1980 at Zelenodolsk shipyard; launched on February 14, 1982; commissioned into Baltic Fleet on November 24, 1982. It has a name of Aleksandrovets since July 2004.

MILESTONES

On August 8, 1984 the ship was transferred to Black Sea Fleet.

Since March 1, 1989 till October 17, 1990 it was under interim overhaul at Ordzhonikidze Sevmorzavod shipyard (Sevastopol).

In August 2008 the ship was deployed off Georgia as a part of Black Sea Fleet task force.

On May 11, 2009 it took part in Sevastopol naval parade in honor of 225th anniversary of Russian Black Sea Fleet.
