MPK-64 Metel is a Project 1124M Small ASW Ship (SAS).

CONSTRUCTION, NAME

The ship was laid down on January 4, 1988 at Khabarovsk Shipyard named after 60th anniversary of the USSR; commissioned on March 14, 1991 under name of MPK-64. The ship obtained the name of Metel on October 1, 2001.
