Admiral Panteleyev is a Project 1155 large ASW ship.

CONSTRUCTION

The ship was laid down in 1987 at Yantar Shipyard (Kaliningrad) and launched in 1988. It was commissioned on May 1, 1992.

MILESTONES

Since August 29, 2011 till February 12, 2012 the ship was on long-range cruise to the Gulf of Aden under command of Capt 1 rank Andrei Saprykin. Most of the time, the crew was conducting anti-piracy activities.

Since June 13 through September 3, 2012 the ship being assisted by replenishment oiler Boris Butoma and ocean-going salvage tug Fotiy Krylov under general command of Capt 1 Rank Sergei Sobokar took part in the RIMPAC-2012 world's largest joint naval exercise held near Hawaii.
