On Wednesday the group of NATO naval experts visited Black Sea Fleet (BSF) submarine Alrosa which is going to participate in the Bold Monarch international search-and-rescue exercise to be held off Spain, reported RIA Novosti citing BSF Commander's press-secretary Vyacheslav Trukhachev.

"In order to check technical capabilities of attachment of escape vehicle, the experts were allowed to learn design of Russian submarine Alrosa", said the interviewee.

As for him, among discussed issues were cooperation with BSF organizations and compatibility of maritime rescue equipment of Russia and NATO members.

"Bold Monarch is a humanitarian-oriented exercise; it must prove real capabilities of joint forces in salvage of a distressed submarine", Trukhachev said.
