One of warships being currently built for Russian Navy will obtain the name of Pyotr A. Stolypin during his 150th anniversary in Apr 2012, told the Stolypin Legacy Research Foundation (Moscow) to Central Navy Portal.

Dozens of festivities are scheduled on Stolypin's jubilee all across Russia – wreath-laying ceremonies, conferences, and public lectures. A warship and a street in Moscow will be named after the known reformist. Additionally, the foundation plans to erect a monument to Pyotr Stolypin.

The Stolypin Legacy Research Foundation has no information which ship will obtain Stolypin's name. According of the jubilee preparation plan, a proposal to name a ship in honor of Pyotr Stolypin was handed over to Russian Navy command, but there is no official reply so far. The foundation's staff waits for a decision to be made late in Dec. Allegedly, it was announced that the name of Stolypin would be given to a new ship being currently under construction.
