Capt 1 rank Sergei Pinchuk was appointed Novorossiysk Naval Base Commander by presidential decree, spokesman for Black Sea Fleet (BSF) Capt 1 rank Vyacheslav Trukhachev told Central Navy Portal.
BSF Commander Rear Admiral Alexander Fedotenkov introduced him to the base's high-ranking officers in Novorossiysk Officers' Club.
Prior to appointment, Capt 1 rank Sergei Pinchuk held an office of Baltic Fleet (BF) Leningrad Naval Base Deputy Commander.
Curriculum Vitae
Sergei M. Pinchuk was born on July 1971 in Sevastopol.
After graduation from Nakhimov Naval School in 1988, he entered Nakhimov Black Sea Naval College. Pinchuk started his officer career with the post of antiaircraft unit commander on destroyer Nastoichivy. On that ship he passed following positions: antiaircraft group commander, air defense officer, executive officer, and commanding officer.
In 1999, Pinchuk graduated from Higher Naval Officer Course, and in 2004 – from Kuznetsov Naval Academy.
He occupied top commanding positions of Leningrad Naval Base. In 2007 he was appointed Baltic Fleet (BF) Leningrad Naval Base Deputy Commander.
On December 2011, Capt 1 rank Sergei Pinchuk was designated for a post of Black Sea Fleet (BSF) Novorossiysk Naval Base Commander.
